A 4-month-old baby shaken for a few seconds by the end of a rope hung around his father’s neck… This is the frightening scene witnessed by employees of the town hall administration of La Morlette de Cenon near Bordeaux, 3 January.
According to the Midilibre, a dispute would have broken out on the precedents of the separation between the father and mother of the newborn while the mother was carrying out the administrative procedures at the district town hall. The father grabbed the boy and placed a rope around his neck before shaking him for a few seconds, witnesses told investigators. A scene that took place under the eyes of the child’s mother and municipal staff, said France Bleu Gironde.
Becoming very violent and threatening to kill the child, the individual was quickly overwhelmed by the municipal police and taken into custody. Meanwhile the child was taken to the hospital where he was admitted. The vital prognosis of him is not committed
The town hall of the Morlette district was closed for the day of January 4 and a psychological cell was set up to assist the municipal employees who witnessed the scene.
