The former prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, continues his international contacts. Mr. Tsipras will visit Belgrade in the next few days making important contacts.
More specifically, under the presidency of Alexis Tsipras, the Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for the Western Balkans will be convened on October 10-11 in Belgrade, at the Parliament of Serbia.
The work of the Commission will be opened by Mr. Tsipras, the Prime Minister and the President of the Parliament of Serbia, while parliamentarians from the member states and especially the Western Balkans will participate.
What will Alexis Tsipras say – Meeting with the Serbian Prime Minister
According to information, Alexis Tsipras is expected to emphasize the importance of respecting international agreements for ensuring peace and stability, tackling nationalism and the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
At the same time, it will underline the importance of building trust and countering nationalism, the co-development of the region in the economy, energy and the new green and digital agenda, as well as coordination in security and diplomacy. The former Prime Minister will meet the Serbian Prime Minister on the sidelines of the meeting.
