ABU DHABI, 9th March / WAM / Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Honorary Chairwoman of the Emirates Business Women Council (Mother of the Nation), activities will start tomorrow at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The Global Summit of Women Entrepreneurs 2023, which will continue until March 11, is under the slogan “The Impact of Digital Transformation on Business,” in line with the UAE’s strategy 2071-2031 towards digital leadership, which enhances the status of women entrepreneurs locally, regionally, and globally, contributes to the growth of their businesses in society, and supports sustainable development. .
The summit, in which more than 400 personalities and delegations from more than 35 countries will participate, representing entrepreneurial institutions, economic institutions, businesswomen’s councils, foreign business councils, trade attachés, Arab and foreign diplomatic corps, and representatives of women’s associations operating in the country, will focus on the future vision of the growth of the business sector in light of enabling digital transformation. And the economic opportunities that will arise as a result of this transformation, promoting innovation and cooperation, and shaping the new future of business.
The forum will also focus on cybersecurity, especially in the e-commerce sector, artificial intelligence, and the responsible use of innovation as one of the most important pillars of digital transformation, increasing business growth opportunities, and raising the level of effectiveness and efficiency for companies.
Her Excellency Farida Abdullah Al-Awadi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors and President of the UAE Businesswomen’s Council, affirmed: “By promoting opportunities in the digital age, the summit seeks to pave the way for transforming business growth into digitization, and we aim to bring together entrepreneurs, associations and women leaders worldwide to empower Digital transformation, showcasing the business opportunities that arise from it, and promoting growth and cooperation to achieve new synergies through this platform.
She pointed out that the widespread adoption of digital technologies will double the rate of women’s participation in the workforce, and will also increase the entry of female entrepreneurs in the UAE, and the Arab region in general, into global markets, and raise the level of competitiveness and quality as participation in building the future and a path to creativity and excellence.
