NEW YORK – Authorities are investigating the death of a 13-year-old teenager who was riding a motorcycle and collided with a car in Suffolk County, police announced.
According to the uniformed officer, the victim, identified as 13-year-old Nicholas Woodworth of Greenlawn, was driving an all-terrain motorcycle and died on Saturday, around 11:30 pm, after hitting a car. Chevrolet Equinox 2020 after passing a traffic light at the intersection of Larkfield Road and Pulaski Road on East Northport.
The young man was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was declared dead.
The vehicle was driven by 49-year-old Mary Mollica and no further details were released about her or whether she was injured.
The vehicle and motorcycle were seized for security checks.
