UND project is intended to revitalize Offenbach’s city centre

Offenbach ⋅ The idea for the UND project was developed jointly by the Vair association in Offenbach and the Hochschule für Gestaltung. The aim is to create a space in downtown Offenbach where people who live in Offenbach can meet, exchange ideas and give insights into their respective cultural origins. This can happen, for example, by cooking, making music and dancing together or at the theatre, readings and the like. The name AND stands for an increase, for “more”. The headquarters of the project, which starts on Friday, is the former branch of the official bank at the Stadthof in Offenbach, directly opposite the town hall.

The brittle objectivity of a bank branch has given way to a colorful variety. Seating furniture with thick, colorful upholstery that encourages you to take a break, carpets in an ethnic style and classic create a relaxed atmosphere in the main room, which is enhanced by colorful lanterns. A living room, or at least a very cozy room, has been created in the once bare branch, which can and should attract people without any program at all. Reading material in various languages is available, a kitchen is set up next to it, there are two rooms called “laboratories” for workshops and the like, and a kiosk selling sweets. In the UND-Bar there are drinks from Offenbacher beer to cocktails from all over the world.
