Uncle killed by nephew in Valtellina with a stab wound to the throat

A stab wound to the throat: this is how Davide Conforto, a fifty-year-old who lived in Poggiridenti, in Valtellina, died. It was in his house that he was killed by his nephew at the height of an argument. According to the initial investigations by the carabinieri of the Sondrio provincial command, the twenty-four year old would have struck only once, in the throat, a blow which was fatal for the victim who collapsed on the floor in a pool of blood.

The alarm was immediately raised by the neighbors who heard the screams coming from the house shortly before, but when the rescuers from Areu per Conforto arrived there was nothing left to do. The carabinieri, coordinated by the Sondrio Prosecutor’s Office directed by Piero Basilone, stopped his nephew, Luca Michele Iannello. The young man was taken to the Alessi barracks to be interrogated by the magistrate on duty, prosecutor Daniele Carli Ballola, who carried out an inspection of the crime scene and also ordered the seizure of the house which was the scene of the serious bloody incident. The magistrates are now busy ascertaining the dynamics of the episode and the motive for the dispute. The young man is now in prison in Sondrio awaiting the validation interrogation. (HANDLE).
