Not everyone in Ukraine is confident in long-term support from the United States. This statement was made by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, ex-Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova.
“I can’t say that we are all confident and that US support … is forever,” conveys words Markarova edition of the Huffington Post. She noted that the support is a “permanent job” and cannot be assumed to be provided forever.
Earlier it became known that before the US presidential election in November 2024, there may be a rejection of large-scale assistance to Ukraine. American politicians will study public opinion and take into account the discontent of the population associated with financial support for Kyiv. Temporarily withholding aid can be politically advantageous during an election campaign.
