Unc0ver: Jailbreak for iOS 13.5 available (update)

Apple just released iOS 13.5. A corresponding jailbreak now appears a short time later. The hacking team “Unc0ver” is responsible for the latest breakout from the Apple sandbox. So that the jailbreak mentioned can be installed, the hackers use a zero-day exploit in Apple’s mobile operating system.

Strictly speaking, there is a corresponding gap in the kernel of iOS version 13.5. It remains to be seen how long the exploit found by the hacking team can be used. The iPhone company is currently working flat out to remedy the vulnerability and will publish another update in the near future. Until this happens, however, the new iOS version can still be removed using the Unc0ver jailbreak 5.0.1.

Even if Apple fixes the vulnerability used, it does not mean that the hackers will not find any further vulnerabilities in the Apple operating system and will then use them for their jailbreak. There currently appear to be plenty of security gaps. As a zero-day exploit dealer announced in the recent past, there is currently no interest in various iOS bugs. In addition, a beta version of the upcoming iOS 14 leaked have been. Apparently, an iPhone with said iOS has fallen into the wrong hands and the new owner has managed to extract the Apple operating system from the phone. Originally, only Apple’s own developers should have access to the version mentioned.

Although this is by no means the final version, a lot of information can be found in the beta and the hackers have enough time to check the software for vulnerabilities until it is finally published. It can currently be assumed that a corresponding jailbreak will be released shortly after the release of iOS 14.
