UNBIND: A Charming Contemporary Drama Addressing Mental Health

A short film UNBIND is a charming contemporary drama set in the West, in a young immigrant family in Eastern Europe. The story is about a young woman who has everything she could want in life – a good job, a beautiful marriage, a child and simple happiness.

However, as happens in life, circumstances tend to change, and in the case of the main character of the film, one incident after another, she loses her self-confidence, identity and her own life. The short film draws attention to a subject that is often reviewed in society – mental health.

The short film is made in English with subtitles in Latvian, because the project will participate in several international film festivals, and the theme of the story is also very relevant around the world.

The producers of the short film are the founders of “Insane Picture” – Elīza Raina Weinberga and Elizabete Balode, who have worked in the Latvian film industry in several high-quality projects and are now on the to create their first short film.

The director and screenwriter of the short film is Elizabete Balode, co-producer of the project.

Famous musicians are also involved in the making of the short film – composer Roberts Dinter and singer TIPA.
