Star Starachowice was established in 1926. For many years it was a significant club on the football map of Poland. The following years were marked by very large financial problems, which led to the collapse of the club in 2005. Two years later, thanks to the numerous support of fans and activists, Star was established as a new entity. From the 2012/13 season, he started climbing from the sixth level. Six years later, he was promoted to the IV league, in which he played for the next three seasons. Until now.

After 30 rounds of the 4th Świętokrzyskie League, Star has scored as many as 86 points, and there are still four games left until the end of the season. The club from Starachowice has already scored 113 goals this season, conceding only 17. Despite the big celebration after being promoted, they managed to win on Friday against GKS Nowiny 6:3. Until the 86th minute, the result was a draw, while the end belonged absolutely to the players of coach Krawiec, who managed to score three goals against the rivals.

The colors of the team from Starachowice are represented by players who played in the Ekstraklasa in the past, e.g. Marcin Kaczmarek (Korona Kielce, Widzew Łódź, Lechia Gdańsk, ŁKS Łódź), Michał Smolarczyk (Korona Kielce), or Michał Grunt (Polonia Warsaw).

In addition to league games, Star is also doing great in the Regional Polish Cup, in which it reached the final. The most important match of these struggles will take place on June 14 at the Suzuki Arena in Kielce, and the rival of the IV-league winner will be the team KSZO Ostrowiec Św.

However, this is not the end of good news for the club. As reported on Thursday by the self-government portal.pl, the Staru stadium will also be rebuilt in the near future. It has been calling for renovation for a long time, and a modern football and athletics facility will be built in its place. The cost of the investment will amount to nearly PLN 29 million, of which PLN 20 million will be covered by co-financing from the Government Fund of Polish Lad.

Star is not the only team that has not lost a match this season as a IV-league player. So far, the players of Widzew Łódź reserves have not experienced the taste of defeat either. However, they are still fighting for promotion to the third league with GKS Bełchatów. At the moment, the inhabitants of Łódź have 86 points and are two points ahead of the rival team.

Apart from the club from Starachowice, GKS Wikielec, which is already in the fourth league of Warmia and Mazury, won the promotion to the third league, which after 26 rounds has 67 points on its account and as many as 14 points ahead of the second Polonia Lidzbark Warmiński.
