Unauthorized Use of Frostpunk Music in “Cerberus” Trailer Leads to Copyright Infringement

Two weeks ago, I published a selection of November serial premieres, and user Skander noticed that in the video of the domestic show “Cerberus” the melody of The City Must Survive from the Frostpunk strategy is heard.

He contacted composer Piotr Musial and received confirmation from him that he did not give permission to use his music, and the only owners of the rights to it are the Frostpunk developers.

We also turned to Peter and 11 bit Studios, which owns all the rights, to confirm that they received information that their melody is used somewhere from Skander and us.

The current situation is this:

Youtube has removed the original trailer for Cerberus due to copyright infringement, but it is still available in its original form on other sites. For example, on Kinopoisk.

Published yesterday new trailer with other music

The legal department of 11 bit Studios works to protect its intellectual property.

Premier representatives did not respond to the official request. Their PR team is also aware of the situation, but chose not to contact us to provide a response.

We will monitor the situation and inform you if there are additional comments from one of the parties or the parties come to an agreement.
