From the received signals and video materials, it is clear that the helicopter is flying extremely low above the ground, and at the same time it shows people who are outside the cabin and throwing objects on the beach, the department’s press center writes. According to eyewitnesses, the flight took place this morning around 5.20 am.

According to the requirements, the aircraft must fly a minimum of 1,000 feet or 300 meters above the ground or buildings, which in this case was clearly not met. Another violation is related to the fact that it is prohibited to throw objects on board the aircraft.

The initial check by the DG “Civil Aviation Administration” shows that the pilot is Veselin Stoyanov. No authorization has been issued for the specific flight. Later on the same day, he informed about a flight from Primorsko to Balchik, but did not give any information about the early flight.

A thorough investigation is to be carried out and if violations are found, the revocation of the pilot’s and air operator’s license will be considered.
