Unauthorized crossing of national airspace near Romanian-Ukrainian border sparks search operations

The Romanian Ministry of Defense informed that

Around midnight, residents of Galats and Tulkeas, located across the Danube from the Ukrainian port of Reni, received a warning to seek shelter. The warning was lifted two hours later.

Since Russia pulled out of the so-called grain deal that guaranteed safe exports of Ukrainian grain to the Black Sea, Moscow has stepped up strikes on the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions in southern Ukraine, which have important infrastructure for grain exports.

This month, Romanian soldiers built shelters for residents of the village of Plauri in the east of the country to go to in case of an air raid. The shelters were set up after the remains of a drone were found in the area.
