Unai Emery’s Aston Villa on the Verge of Breaking Premier League Record

Unai Emery succeeded in advancing the position Aston Villa in the standings Premier League. The Spanish manager has the potential to break a new Premier League record next week.

Emery arrived at Villa Park in October 2022. He was recruited to replace Steven Gerrard in a team just above the relegation zone.

A change in form has been visible in Emery’s Villa squad. Ollie Watkins cs recorded 12 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses from 18 matches.

Villa’s three goals against Newcastle United were an achievement in itself Unai Emery. The former Arsenal manager managed to bring his team to score in 18 matches Premier League streak.

Emery is only the third manager in Premier League history to have his side score in his first 18 games in charge. He followed in the footsteps of Mike Walker with Norwich City in 1992 and Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea).

Emery is very satisfied with his team’s current performance. He now hopes that his team can fulfill their dream of finishing in the European zone.

“Our target at the moment is the top 10, we now have to get the second target to count and fight for a European position,” Emery said after the Aston Villa vs Newcastle match, as quoted from Daily Star.

“Yes, the first target is to get out from the bottom, we did it, the next is to get to the top. We are very demanding to add new targets above to become the top six,” he said.
