Una Stubbs, an actress from the Sherlock series and Miss Marple, died

Sherlock creator Steven Moffat called Stubbs “the most charming light from Baker Street.” In the series, Stubbs played Sherlock Holmes’ landlady, Mrs. Hudson.

The actress originally began her career as a dancer and in the 1960s slowly made her way into the television industry in the Comedy Playhouse, Till Death Us Do Part and Benny Hill series. In the seventies, she appeared briefly in the series Hotýlek.

She also played in the titles Casualty, EastEnders or Heartbeat, which are not known in the Czech Republic. The Midsomer Murders, Miss Marple, and the latest Sherlock are more popular.

The films in which she appeared include Water Children, Angel, Sherlock: The Ghost Bride and The Golden Age.
