CaracasThe United Nations (UN) introduced on Tuesday that the multilateral group has determined to deploy a Panel of Electoral Consultants within the presidential elections scheduled for July 28 within the South American nation.
“On the request of the Nationwide Electoral Council of Venezuela, the UN will deploy a Panel of Electoral Consultants for the presidential elections of July 2024,” the group printed by its social media accounts.
The UN stated a group of 4 consultants will arrive in Venezuela “in early July to supply the Secretary-Common with an unbiased and inner report on the general conduct of the elections.”
He added that the report “will probably be confidential and can embody suggestions on enhancements that might be made in future electoral processes in Venezuela.”
The Panel of Electoral Consultants is one in all a number of forms of electoral help that the United Nations can present on the request of Member States.
Greater than 21.6 million Venezuelans are eligible to train their proper to vote within the upcoming presidential elections in Venezuela.
The principle candidates are the present president and candidate for re-election, Nicolás Maduro of the United Socialist Social gathering of Venezuela, and the opposition candidate Edmundo González Urrutia, consultant of the opposition Democratic Unity Platform.
