The Public Prosecution Service already announced in December to prosecute two cops for the violence they used against the man in the video. The Public Prosecution Service finds “the violence with which they arrested a protester is disproportionate”.
The corona protest on Malieveld got out of hand in March. It was disbanded on the orders of the mayor, but many demonstrators remained on Malieveld, which was subsequently evacuated by the police.
