Tensions along the Lebanese and Israeli border are rising amid exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.

The tension on the border comes amid Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7.

A four-day humanitarian pause between the Israeli military and Hamas came into effect on Friday morning throughout the Gaza Strip. As a result, the attacks temporarily stopped to exchange prisoners and send aid.
