The UN unveiled, Friday in New York, the theme and logo of its pavilion for the Osaka World Expo scheduled from April 13 to October 13, 2025.
The UN pavilion logo was unveiled by UN Commissioner General for Expo 2025 Maher Nasser, who is also director of the public outreach division at the UN Department of Global Communications.
The Logo represents a white dove carrying an olive branch with leaves in the colors of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It embodies the United Nations’ commitment to peace and security as fundamental elements for the achievement of the SDGs and the advent of a world in which everyone flourishes in peace, equality and dignity, and on a healthy planet, indicates the press service of the international organization.
In addition to exhibitions linked to the thematic weeks and celebrations of the main international days of Expo 2025, the United Nations Pavilion will highlight the work of the UN system and reflect the importance of multilateralism in addressing global threats and challenges, as well as the opportunities that arise from collaboration between nations and across sectors.
More than 30 UN entities will be represented during this exhibition under the theme “Designing the society of tomorrow for our lives”. It is expected to attract more than 28 million visitors.
