The resolution passed with support 32-6 and contains strong language against Israeli human rights practices.
“Call on UN member states to stop transferring weapons where there is a clear risk that such weapons could be used to commit or facilitate serious violations or violations of international human rights law or serious violations of international humanitarian law,” the resolution exclaims as such. quoted from The New Arab, Thursday (25/3/2021).
In total, six countries – Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Malawi and Togo – opposed the resolution, while Bahrain, for the first time, did not attend.
Previous resolutions criticizing Israeli practices and human rights abuses have received high levels of support from Bahrain.

For information, Israel and Bahrain have normalized relations in September 2020.
Other countries that “abstain” are the Bahamas, the Czech Republic, India, the Marshall Islands, Nepal, the Philippines, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
