The alleged murderer Umyad Ebrahim, was provisionally charged with two murder charges in Mahebourg court on Wednesday. This 38-year-old Curepipe is provisionally accused of having killed Zahiirah Ibrahim and Hema Coonjoobeeharry. The bodies of these two women were unearthed from an orchard in Mare d’Albert.
Umyad, Rajesh, Abhi or even Abhishek… it is under the different names that the alleged murderer presents himself to his targets and the inhabitants of Mare D’Albert.
For the latter, Umyad Ebrahim was a person without history. In fact, the inhabitants of the region often helped him find food. He worked as a security guard and also lived in a cabin on the orchard. Or in an abandoned house not far from the orchard.
We are told that Umyad Ebrahim also used several Facebook accounts under female names.
On Facebook, he often won the sympathy of his friends by presenting himself as someone who has always been heartbroken.
Following this drama, the Major Crime Investigation Team drew up a list of her friends. Facebook for questioning. About five Internet users have already been questioned.
Also his ex-wife was questioned. The latter affirms that Umyad Ebrahim was at the beginning of their marriage, in 2017 a gentle and discreet man. But then things changed. Umyad Ebrahim then turned violent.
As a reminder, in 2010 he had some trouble with the police. He had been arrested for a case of kidnapping of a woman, with whom he said he was in love. However, the case was closed because the alleged victim had never appeared in court during the trial.
