The man had violated two strict rules in Saudi Arabia regarding his behavior in worshiping in Mecca. The first is the prohibition of unfolding banners or shouting slogans.
Second, Umrah pilgrims cannot devote their worship to non-Muslims, such as Queen Elizabeth, who is also the Supreme Ruler of the Church of England.
Saudi media reported that the Grand Mosque security team had arrested a Yemeni citizen who appeared in a video clip with a banner inside the Grand Mosque. This action violated Umrah regulations.
“He has been arrested, legal action will be taken and brought to justice,” the authorities said.
