UMKM Entered the LKPP Page, What for?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Policy Institute Procurement Government Goods / Services (LKPP) has launched a special page for products of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ( UMKM) entitled Procurement Defense and UMKM Site.

This effort was carried out to help and support the recovery of MSMEs in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki stated, the pandemic has had a major impact on MSMEs, both in terms of financing, and lowering demand. Therefore, according to him, with a synergy between the ministries, the government is preparing a program so that MSMEs can bounce back.

“Starting from restructuring, interest subsidies, tax subsidies, and in the near future, there will also be Productive Presidential Assistance for micro businesses that are not yet bankable,” he said in the event of the Acceleration of Local Economic Turnover, Launching of Procurement Defense and MSME Pages and the Digital UMKM Market virtually. citing the official broadcast, Tuesday (18/8/2020).

Teten said, as President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had directed to the ministry to buy and spend on UMKM products, there was a budget that had been allocated around Rp. 307 trillion. According to him, this budget is important to optimize from ministry or agency spending.

He said the policy still needed affirmation from all ministries and agencies. According to him, his party has communicated intensively about UMKM opportunities, the results of which include the e-catalog page for the UMKM Defending Direct Procurement and Direct Procurement electronically.

Meanwhile the Minister BUMN Erick Thohir stated that the role of BUMN in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic is to provide policies that support national economic growth.

He also emphasized that strategic projects must still be carried out.

“Like it or not, currently what the government and BUMN are doing is an effort to balance BUMN. With the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, BUMN not only help with ultra-micro funding, but also continue to open up greater access, ”he said.

He added that his party would work together in product promotion and upgrade the standard of MSME goods to make it even better.
