Los White Tigers of Madero University (UMAD) maintain the high level of demand in each of their training sessions in this preseason stage, since the objective of the felines is very clear: the third national championship of the Student Basketball Association League (ABE).
The goal is very clear and players like Aldo Terrazas have it in mind, because he knows that it is his last chance to roar with the felines as he marks his final stretch as an eligible player, so like other players, he wants to go out with the biggest bang.
The native of Valle de Allende, Chihuahua, has been part of the golden generation of the Tigres Blancos UMAD that achieved the promotion title by being champion of Division II and later, the historic national bichampionship in Division I achieved last April.
Closing with a gold clasp
Since 2019, Aldo Terrazas has been part of the white felines which by the hand of Juan Manuel Solano They have achieved great things on the college court as a result of effort, dedication, talent and discipline.
This being his last campaign in the ABE League, like many of his teammates Richard Sánchez, David Cervantes and Víctor Dávila, they all agree that life is about cycles and this closing must be in the purest style of “The Last Dance”, leaving through the grand door as his former captain Óscar “Chivo” Romero did.
Prior to the start of the 2024-2025 season, Aldo Terrazas said he was ready to play his last campaign at the highest level of the student sector in the Mexican Republic to the fullest, where he stressed that game by game, the Tigres Blancos seek to be good on and off the field.
“We did well in preseason, but we can improve because there are always areas of opportunity that, if we work on them, will make us stronger,” he explained to the institution.
New blood arrives
After GRADA announced on its pages on August 13 the “last dance” of the golden generation of the Tigres Blancos that won three titles between 2022 and 2024, coach Juan Manuel Solano has begun to make the generational change.
Tigres Blancos, as the current two-time national champion, seeks to assert its status as the team to beat in the new campaign, which is why it knows the importance of having a competitive team that combines youth and experience.
For this reason, the roster of the Maderistas will have among its ranks talented first-year student athletes from various parts of Mexico who will seek to follow in the footsteps of a golden legion that has slowly been saying goodbye and that this campaign ends with its last eligible elements.
The new elements will seek to get ready to be considered by the Tigres Blancos coach and give UMAD a new joy in the coming spring of 2025.
