Tūrmane revealed to the Washington Post that she had an abortion in Germany as a teenager. The woman became pregnant from a much older man with whom she slept due to the role.
She called the abortion the “hardest decision” of her life.
The actress has revealed her experience in opposing the abortion ban in Texas.
She points out that this has been the “darkest secret” of her life.
The actress has three children – a 23-year-old daughter Maija and a 19-year-old son Levon, who were born in marriage to actor Itan Havka, and a 9-year-old daughter Luna, who was born in a relationship with the actress’ ex-wife Arpad Bason.
