UM is researching schools’ approach to health and wellbeing of students: participate

Researchers from Maastricht University are conducting a 4-year national evaluation study of the Healthy School program, funded by ZonMw. Part of this is mapping out the approach of primary, secondary and MBO schools in the Netherlands to the health and well-being of students. To do this, they are looking for as many schools as possible who want to fill in an online questionnaire about this. This reports Maastricht University.

What do schools in the Netherlands do about the health and wellbeing of students? To map this out, the study ‘School approach to health and welfare’ is being conducted. The research is carried out by three academic workshops (AWPG Limburg, AMPHI and AGORA), research institute TNO and 7 GGDs, and subsidized by ZonMw. The clients include the Ministries of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), and Education, Culture and Science (OCW). The PO Council, the VO Council and the MBO Council support this research.

You can participate by completing the questionnaire about your school location via www. healthenwelzijn.nl before 1 December. As a thank you, you will receive a report about your school. This shows how your school is doing on each of the components in the survey, compared to the national average.

Questions can be put to the researcher, Gerjanne Vennegoor, via [email protected] or 043 3882281.
