For strawberry lovers, summer can’t last long enough, because that’s when the red fruit tastes best. Strawberry season officially runs from April to September, but they taste sweeter and prettier in the summer. Dutch strawberry growers are coping well with this, especially with the corona pandemic; the time when safe, convenient and contactless shopping was the norm.
Face masks were not required for a long time and the same goes for contactless shopping, but the strawberry drive turned out to be a huge success. And that’s not surprising at all, because you can buy the tastiest and freshest strawberries in all shapes and sizes or with sweet toppings, right from your car.
