Although we have already kicked off carnival on Friday, carnival officially only starts on Saturday. There is plenty to do throughout the city. D’n Inhaol
D’n Inhaol is the official start of carnival in Kruikenstad. The Prince and his entourage are brought in and the key to the city is handed over. D’n Inhaol is scheduled from 1:11 PM – 3:11 PM. From the central station a procession heads towards d’n Heuvel. Different from previous years: this year the key transfer will take place at the Palace-Town Hall!
Handshake
When the Prince and his entourage have arrived in Kruikenstad and have received the key, the Haandeschudde starts. You will then have the opportunity to shake hands with the Prince and his entourage and wish each other a happy carnival. Of course, nice musical accompaniment will be provided. The Haandeschudde is on the program at d’n Heuvel from 3:11 PM to 6:11 PM.
More fun parties
Uurke Sengers
Uurke Sengers has become a household name in Kruikenstad. Usually on Carnival Saturday from 2:11 PM there was a lot of partying for the Sengers in the Heuvelstraat. This year Uurke Sengers has a new location: Stadhuisplein. Expect a big madhouse with CV or Kachel as host and various guest appearances.
Drunkendaorissen Outdoor with Lamme Frans
Dronkedaorissen Outdoor is on the program again on Saturday. Enjoy unlimited drinks between 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM during this fun festival on Kruikenplein. Lamme Frans, among others, will perform. You obviously need tickets for this party. Kruikenplein is freely accessible to everyone from 3:30 PM.
Haandewasse nao et Haandeschudde on the Piusplein
There is also a party on Piusplein during the Haandewasse nao et Haandeschudde. CV De Jassen, DJ DAO, DJ Paul S and other carnival artists will be there.
Nostalgic afternoon and much more during ‘t Groote Pleinfestijn
There is plenty to do on the square on the Paleisring on Saturday. For example, the Nostalgic afternoon is on the program with guest performances by many guest artists and associations. In the evening, Tommy Dee and DJ Daan Geeven take over the square.
CV De Jassen and many others in Stadhuisstraat
On Saturday, CV De Jassen, CV Dorellies, CV De Raddraoiers, Verrekkes Blauw and De Mannen Van de Stadhuisstraat will take over. There are DJs, various guest artists and much more.
DJ Stefun and DJ Sebastiaan in Het Feestpaleis
There will be a party in the tent in front of Feestcafé de Prins and Sportsbar Papa Jim on Saturday from 2 p.m. The records will be played that day by DJ Stefun and DJ Sebastiaan. You want to be there!
DJ Erix, DJ Mats, Joepie Fourtie and DJ Tristan at the Korte Heuvel
They start at Korte Heuvel on Saturday morning at 11:11 am with DJ Mats, followed by DJ Erix. At 8:00 PM Joepie Fourtie will treat you to the best beats and the evening will end with DJ Tristan until 1:00 AM.
