Ulm Theater Benefit Gala: A Night of Top-Class Dance for a Good Cause

It should be one of the absolute highlights of the year for dance and ballet fans in Ulm and the surrounding area: On Wednesday, June 28th, at 7.30 p.m., the Ulm Theater invites dance companies from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg to a benefit gala on a grand scale Haus to present current choreographies for the benefit of the Mukoviszidose-Förderverein Ulm and the Daisy Foundation. The theater management announced this in a letter.

According to the announcement, top-class dance is to be expected. Because not only the dance companies of the Augsburg and Karlsruhe State Theaters, dancers from the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg show selected contributions from their current program, but also the young dancers, among others, with the John Cranko School Stuttgart and the Stuttgart Gauthier Dance Juniore demonstrate their skills. The Dance Theater Heidelberg will also perform and show an excerpt from the evening “Reality and the cosmos” by the choreographer Ivan Perez. The young talents of the Bavarian Junior Ballet present “3 Preludes”, a choreography by Richard Siegal to music by George Gershwin. There is also an excerpt from “Giselle” with soloists from the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich, choreographed by ballet director Karl Alfred Schreiner.

What is also special about the gala is that all participating artists waive their fee in favor of the Mukoviszidose Förderverein Ulm and the non-profit foundation Daisy. Daisy supports socially disadvantaged children and young people in the region, the Mukoviszidose Förderverein Ulm has set itself the task of offering those affected by this metabolic disease comprehensive psychosocial and therapeutic help.

The Ulm Theater, the participating guests and, of course, all the people of Ulm who are enthusiastic about dancing and who attend the dance gala are promoting the important humanitarian work of the two initiatives on this evening, according to the statement.
