Starting with the ‘2024 Uljin Geumgangsong Spring Middle School U15 Soccer Competition’, the largest middle school soccer competition in the country, the county has been hosting not only ball sports such as soccer, volleyball, and baseball, but also triathlons, including the last match, the ’20th National Uljin Triathlon Competition’. Over 20 national level competitions have been held, including marine sports events rarely seen in Korea, such as athlon and beach volleyball.

The county plans to improve the health of county residents by building such sports infrastructure and revitalize the economy by holding various sports competitions and attracting sports tourists.
