Ulin Regional Hospital, Banjarmasin: No Cases of Mycoplasma Pneumonia Found – Readiness for Treatment

Acting Director of Ulin Hospital, Banjarmasin, Diauddin.

The South Kalimantan Provincial Government through the Ulin Banjarmasin Regional General Hospital (RSUD) has not found any cases of mycoplasma pneumonia in South Kalimantan.

Acting Director of Ulin Regional Hospital, Banjarmasin, Diauddin, said that even though no case has been found, therapy at Ulin Regional Hospital is ready if a patient is infected with pneumonia with the same bacteria as in China, namely mycoplasma pneumonia.

“Until now in the hospital, we have not found any cases of pneumonia like in China,” he said, Banjarmasin, Friday (15/12/2023).

However, he added, people still have to be alert by wearing masks and washing their hands frequently.

“So symptoms of pneumonia can be seen if a sufferer coughs for up to two weeks. “Even coughing up blood,” he said.

Therefore, he appealed to people if they feel these symptoms, they can immediately take them to the nearest Puskesmas. Because all pneumonia treatment is available at the Community Health Center.

“Treatment for pneumonia is available in all health centers. “This means that sufferers only need to go to the health center to get treatment,” he concluded. MC South Kalimantan/USU.
