Dramatic events will take place in the spring in the popular TV series Ulice, which will affect the fate of the entire Klím family, their loved ones and other residents of Ulice. We were there when these crucial scenes were being filmed. It is a car accident in which Iva Klímová and other characters who are yet to appear in the series will be involved. An interesting fact is that their representatives are known to viewers from other TV Nova projects.

The creators of the series Ulice have prepared really big events for their fans and viewers this spring. Everyone who likes something going on in Ulica will have a good time. We are already revealing that there will be another serious car accident in the series. The production of the series has to plan far in advance in order to produce in time a regular dose of stories and emotions, which loyal viewers of Ulica have been watching for over eighteen years. This time, too, everything was carefully planned two months in advance, so it seemed that nothing could jeopardize the shoot, even though everyone on the crew knew that it would be one of the more demanding ones. Paradoxically, everyone looks forward to precisely these challenges, when they go outside and shoot special scenes, be it action, emotionally tense, very dramatic or slightly comedic. It is simply something different from the usual routine, a kind of icing on the cake of Ulica production.

Difficult tests for the Klíms

The screenwriters got a little tougher again, and so another car accident takes place in Ulica, which will not be without consequences this time either. Among others, Iva Klímová (Hana Baronová), which is currently going through a difficult period in the plot of the series. At the beginning of the year, she learned that she was pregnant. It was a huge shock to her because she thought she was going through menopause. With her husband Vítek (Filip Capka) decided after a few days that Iva would terminate this pregnancy prematurely, as neither of them felt comfortable with the fourth child. Reason has won out over feelings, although neither of them is still convinced that this is the right decision. However, this is not the only difficult test that awaits the Klím family. The next blow will come in the spring, when it seems that everything has finally turned for the better. As already mentioned, the blow is an accident. It spun like a monster on perhaps the coldest day of the year, as if the weather conspired against the creators of the popular new series. After all, it wasn’t the first time that the crew battled bad weather.

Chilling action scene filming

Since the individual episodes are filmed approximately two to three months in advance, in January the street works diligently on the spring works. So it sometimes happens that the crew is wading through snowdrifts, while spring is in full swing on the calendar. This time it didn’t snow heavily, but the outside temperature dropped well below freezing. And stay outside all day in such temperatures. All while knowing that if these scenes had been shot just a week earlier, everything would have been different and almost spring weather prevailed in real life. “Filming in exteriors is planned even more in advance than regular shooting in studios. There are a lot of other things that need to be arranged that we don’t have to deal with during regular filming in studios. In addition, the shooting on Tuesday is very specific. Paramedics, the police and stuntmen were ordered, the filming area was blocked off, several permits were needed, etc. In short, it was no fun, so the day before filming it was impossible to simply say that it was canceled due to the weather. That’s why I thank everyone who was here once again for their great professionalism and commitment,” adds Janka Maršíková, producer of the Ulice series.

Who was on the set?

The staff began meeting at six o’clock in the morning, still in the freezing darkness. Still, there was a slight sense of excitement right from the start, because scenes like this don’t really happen that often in The Street. Matěj Jordán had the last serious wreck here (Jakub Stafek) five years ago, at the beginning of 2019. At that time, it was filmed by director Jakub Wehrenberg, who is also directing the filming of this latest street accident. There were not only actors and crew, but also stuntmen, extras in the roles of rescuers and a police car. The first little secret of the creators of Ulica is already coming to light. During the filming of the most difficult part of the crash, when it comes down to millimeters so that no one gets hurt and at the same time everything looks completely believable on the screen, the actors are replaced by stuntmen. Even so, it is, for example, a unique experience for the likeable Baroňová: “For me, it’s a pleasant change, filming outside the Ulice studio. However, the cold weather is making things a little more difficult for us today. Fortunately, the production takes excellent care of us, provided us with a wonderful background where it’s warm and the costume designers have prepared special ‘warmers’ for us, which I wear on different parts of my body. Even though it is about minus ten and we spend the whole day outside, we are not cold. Overall, it was a pleasant and interesting experience for me today,” adds Baroňová.

In addition to the faces familiar to the viewers of the series Ulice, there are also other characters at the scene of the accident whose representatives appeared in other new projects and aroused the interest of female fans. We caught up with Adam Vohánka on the set, who drew attention to himself in the series Mr ProfessorMatouš Zaha, the handsome man from popular commercials, or “heart” Adam Sedraa finalist on the hot reality show Love Island. He adds to his unconventional role in front of the camera: “It’s a new experience for me, a fast action scene. The only thing that bothered me a little during the filming was the cold, but otherwise it was great. I’m relatively used to cameras from Love Island, but this shoot is of course something completely different. And if I’m attracted to acting? I would rather go the modeling route.
