Danish actor Ulf Pilgaard has died at the age of 83, reports the Danish newspaper BT
Pilgaard died on Monday, October 29 after a short illness.
– My dear father has passed away. I will miss his presence and joie de vivre for the rest of my life. His memory lives on in our hearts, son of Pilgaard Christian Pilgaard says in a press release.
Ulf Pilgaard’s acting career lasted more than 60 years. He is known for, among other things, the film Night watch and from the drama series Bastion of power. He played his last role in 2023 in the film Nightwatch: Demons Forever.
Pilgaard was married for 46 years Gitte Pilgaardin with. The wife, who had Huntington’s disease, died in 2016 when she was 69 years old.
Later, Pilgaard dated while working as a nurse Annette Bavnhøj’n with.
According to the Svensk Dam news site, Pilgaard was a good friend of Queen Margareta. The two reportedly became friends when Pilgaard played him several times.
