Uldrikis scores a goal and helps Cambuur win the Dutch Championship

Nijmegen (Netherlands), Nov. 27, LETA. The striker of the Latvian national football team Roberts Uldriķis scored on Friday in the game of the Dutch championship and promoted the victory of Leivārden “Cambuur” team.

In the 14th round match, “Cambuur” won the “Nijmegen” team with the result 3: 2 (1: 2).

Uldrik started the match in the starting eleven and scored his third goal in the Dutch Championship in the 52nd minute, reaching 2: 2.

A free kick aimed at the keeper’s far post almost gave Roben Maluna the lead 40 minutes in, but the ball just wasn’t able to squirm its way through the defensive wall.

Shortly afterwards, in the 58th minute, Uldriķis was replaced.

Until then, on the 17th minute, the guests had been nominated by Jamie Jacobs, but with the efforts of Edgar Barrett and Ali Akman, the hosts took the lead in the 36th minute – 2: 1.

In the 66th minute, Alex Bangura scored the third goal for Leivārden’s team.

Cambuur has risen to fourth place in the 18-team competition with 24 points in 14 games in the Dutch Premier League.

The Latvian striker made his debut in the Dutch “Eredivisie” championship in the beginning of October, when he also came to the substitution and scored a goal. The 23-year-old Latvian national team player has signed a contract for the next two seasons with the possibility to extend it for another season.
