In the Latvian Premier League championship in floorball, the floorball players of the Oxdog Ulbroka team have suffered a loss in their home. Pieriga ladies’ teams did better – both Stopiņi NHK handball players and “Ķekavas Bulldogs / NND” club floorball players were successful at the weekend.

In the match between the teams of the two leading leagues of the Premier League, the floorball players of Oxdog Ulbroka hosted the floorball club Valmiera. In the middle of the first third, the masters of the court noticed that they had scored three goals in a row, ended up losing 1: 4 and, although they later reduced the difference to a minimum, they eventually lost 4: 5.
After this victory, the people of Valmiera have become the leaders of the tournament table (21 points in 9 games), they are followed by Cēsis “Lekrings” (20 points, 8 points), as well as both Pieriga clubs – “Ķekava” (18 points, 9 points). and Oxdog Ulbroka (p. 17, p. 9).
In the only match of Sunday’s women’s top league, the tournament leader “Ķekavas Bulldogs / NND” in the guests of the floorball player beat “Līgatne” 6: 2 (Līgai Vancāne 2 + 0) and strengthened in the first place – 19 points in 7 games. However, other competitors have played 2-4 games less, also the fifth place “FK Ķekava” unit (6 points, 3 points).
The fourth victory in the five games of this season on Sunday was also won by the handball players of the Latvian women’s handball championship Stopiņi NHK. In the home game against the students of the Latvian Academy of Sports Pedagogy, the decisive events took place in the middle of the first half, when the Stopiņi team reached 12: 4 from 4: 2 and in the following did not allow the opponents to approach – 32:21.
Lana Nikolaev scored eight goals, Darya Savchenko six, Elza Sergante five, Elita Ekkerte and Daina Sergeyeva four each. In the tournament table, Stopiņi NHK handball players have 9 points, and their closest followers are three points ahead of them. The handball players of Salaspils Sports School have suffered losses in the first two games of the season.
