The Université Laval student community is the target of a new psychological health awareness campaign launched by CADEUL and ÆLIÉS. Entitled “Du support y en a”, it is intended to be close to the reality of students and above all visible. Overview.
With the multitude of prejudices about mental health, one of the first axes of the campaign is to limit as much as possible the stigma suffered by UL students suffering from psychological distress.
“For a long time, we knew that student psychological health was a major issue. Years
to talk about this issue, years to raise awareness. Today, thanks to an incredible work of all
and all of us are finally taking one more step in the right direction ”, declares Cyndelle Gagnon,
president of CADEUL.
Concretely, visuals (posters, lettering), displaying messages directly appealing to the student, can be found everywhere on the University’s campus and in strategic places in Quebec City. A website and a social media deployment strategy are two other means that are used for the campaign.

“The management of the University accepted without hesitation to support this superb student initiative.
to create an original and impactful awareness campaign on campus, says Sophie
D’Amours, rector of Laval University. Mental health is a major issue for the
student population and the entire university community is concerned. It is important to
talk and support each other ”, specifies Louis-Xavier Lamy, executive secretary of ÆLIÉS.
