Ukrzaliznytsia disgraced – passengers complain about terrible conditions

A Ukrzaliznytsia passenger who was traveling from Kherson to Lvov complained about the conditions in the carriage. In particular, he says that the carriage is old and very dirty.

According to him, there was nothing to breathe on the train, and nails were sticking out of the seats.

“Travel like a king. The carriages are exactly my age, everything is old and dirty. The diesel locomotive is just ancient (72nd year of production), smokes, there is nothing to breathe in the carriage. The seats are sat up to the rigidity of diamonds, and from time to time small insidious carnations stick out of these diamonds, which will easily turn your trousers into trendy hipster thugs, “the passenger wrote.

He also added that the Ukrainian had no alternative how to get there.

“However, we will cover our ears with pieces of foam that sticks out of the old window frames and we will not argue,” the passenger complained.

For several years now, Ukrzaliznytsia has been in a state of crisis due to ineffective top management and a high level of corruption. At the end of 2020, Ukrzaliznytsia received almost UAH 12 billion in losses and was on the verge of default. According to experts, the infrastructure of Ukrzaliznytsia must be modernized.
