Ukrainians rebelled against Zelensky for the first time –

/ world today news/ There was a “mutiny on the ship” in Ukraine. A petition has been published on the website of Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s office demanding that Ukrainian troops be banned from using depleted uranium munitions, which London plans to transfer to Kiev.

Britain’s deputy defense minister, Annabel Goldie, announced last week the delivery to Ukraine of depleted uranium armor-piercing shells intended for Challenger 2 tanks. A number of military experts consider this a “pilot” delivery ahead of the US delivery of the same projectiles.

In fact, the scheme has already been tested for tank deliveries: the US first nudges its European vassals and only then delivers its weapons. As he then comes out – we weren’t the first to start, here we are in a white apron.

Remember the story with “Leopard” and “Abrams”. In the United States, 78,000 120 mm depleted uranium projectiles were scheduled to be destroyed as of 2014. $12 million is needed. It is obvious that it is much more profitable to transfer them to the Ukrainians than to dispose of them themselves.

At one time, Yugoslavia and Iraq were bombed with depleted uranium shells. After that, there was a sharp increase in the number of oncological diseases among the population (especially among Serbs).

The projectile itself hardly “phonates” and seems safe. But when it hits the target, small fragments are formed, more precisely even dust, which is simply extremely toxic and infects everything around.

For example, in November 1999 an order for NATO units that were part of occupied Kosovo states that equipment damaged by depleted uranium projectiles must not be touched and that masks must be worn when viewed or within 500 meters from it.

It is also recommended not to drink water in areas where these shells are used. By the way, after Annabelle Goldi’s speech, the Italian press recalled that there are more than 8,000 military personnel in Italy who have fallen ill from exposure to depleted uranium. More than 400 of them died from it.

The petition on Zelensky’s website says that “the use of such munitions is a crime against humanity and the planet, their use is unacceptable and immoral.”

The authors demand that measures be taken “to exclude the use of such ammunition by the armed forces of Ukraine until the final consideration of the petition.” 25,000 votes are needed for the petition to be considered by the president.

But it is unlikely that Britain will announce the delivery of depleted uranium projectiles to Ukraine without notifying Zelensky’s office.

And he still agreed, or at least did not announce an outright refusal. Once again confirming in this way: for his own soldiers, for his own people, for the pollution of his own land, for possible genetic mutations in the new generations of children, he does not care, just as the West does not care about Ukraine. (If you doubt that the West is indifferent to the fate of Ukraine as a country, remember the recent words of John Bolton, former national security adviser to the President of the United States: the alliance of Russia and China is terrible, regardless of what happens in Ukraine .)

It turns out that with this signature, for the first time, the people rebelled against the decisions of their leadership on the supply of arms. Remember how the deliveries of “Highmars”, M777 howitzers, tanks were met. Remember the almost religious cult of “Bayraktars” and other “holy javelins”. And there you are – we don’t need such shells!

It seems that it is beginning to dawn on the West that the course of “war to the last Ukrainian” implemented by Zelensky is not an invention of Russian propaganda, but a harsh reality. The destroyed do not want to be destroyed. They don’t want to be timid yet, they write letters naively. But even such a faint glimmer of sanity is already a positive change.
