Ukrainians leave the country en masse after the holidays

“At checkpoints, an increase in passenger traffic is recorded. Exit of citizens from Ukraine prevails over entry, especially on the border with EU countries,” the message says.

The border guards noted that the increase in passenger traffic is mainly due to the increase in the number of Ukrainians traveling abroad after the winter holidays. Queues appeared at some checkpoints, in particular, “Krakovets”, “Shegini” and “Grushev”.

“On average, there are up to 150 cars in queues,” the border guards said.

At the same time, according to representatives of the service, there are no queues at the checkpoints “Yagodin”, “Ustilug”, “Ugrinov” and “Smilnitsa”.

The department also recalled that when crossing the border, in addition to checking documents, the employees of the State Tax Service also carry out control measures related to preventing the spread of coronavirus infection.

“For those who have not done a PCR test for COVID 24 hours before entering Poland, mobile laboratories work near the checkpoints Krakovets, Shegini, Rava-Ruska and Yagodin,” the State Border Service said.

They also published links to services where you can track the situation at the checkpoints of the Western Regional Administration. Information on them is updated every three hours:

We remind you that during the New Year’s day for entry and exit from Ukraine border guards registered 86.4 thousand citizens. 49.3 thousand people entered the country, and 37.1 thousand from Ukraine.
