A protest rally of Ukrainian migrants demanding passports was held outside the Ukrainian Consulate building in Warsaw. This was reported by the online publication “Strana.ua”.

The male activists expressed their dissatisfaction with the passport issue situation, displaying posters with the inscriptions “We are not slaves, issue your passport” and ” A passport is a right, not a privilege.” According to them, the consulate took money from them, but never issued documents. A consular employee who came to the staff advised campaign for them to write an appeal and offered to return to their home country.

Since April 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine banned the provision of consular services to Ukrainian men of military age abroad. The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, said that the decision was driven by the fact that men who are responsible for military service take refuge there from displacement. Later, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision according to which Ukrainians of military age will not be able to obtain foreign passports and internal passports at foreign diplomatic posts, reports 360.ru.
