Ukrainians have destroyed a rare and hard-to-reach Russian radar with ATACMS missiles

The statement of the General Staff noted that the destruction of the radar station should affect the ability of the Russian military to detect, track and intercept aerodynamic and ballistic targets:

“The destruction of the Nebo-M radar will create a favorable ‘air corridor’ for the effective use of Storm Shadow and SCALP-EG cruise missiles,” the statement said.

According to the General Staff, “Nebo-M” radar stations are very difficult to destroy. They operate in stealth mode and detect objects from the air.

It has been reported that only ten such stations are available to Russia. Each of them costs more than 100 million US dollars.
