Ukrainians can get free hectares of land: the Cabinet of Ministers told whether it is real

Ukrainians have the right to receive free hectares of land. At the same time, there is no free land left in the country to satisfy the right of citizens to free privatization of land plots.

This was stated by the senior project manager for land reform of the reform office Cabinet Andrey Martyn, reports “Ukraine 24”… “In fact, in order to satisfy all citizens of Ukraine with land, we have not had so much free land for a long time. Land reform in Ukraine has been going on for over 30 years, almost all land has already been redistributed. Unfortunately, it is impossible to satisfy every citizen of Ukraine by providing him with free land. We do not have as much land physically, “Martyn said.

He also clarified that no one will cancel the right to free privatization. “This is one of the rights of citizens, the Constitution prohibits us from restricting rights and freedoms. But there is no free land to satisfy every citizen of Ukraine. In order for each citizen to be given two hectares of land for a personal peasant farm, an additional 64 million hectares of land are needed for those who are whoever has not received them yet is more than the entire territory of Ukraine, “the manager notes.

Martyn explains that free privatization needs to be reformed. “But we have it all ahead, because this is a very difficult political discussion,” he summed up.

Let us remind you that in Ukraine every citizen can get up to 2 hectares of land for free… And although local authorities do not directly deny this right, in practice, officials find reasons not to give land plots for free. However, according to the law, in order to obtain land, it is enough to collect documents and apply to the local authorities.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, Ukrainians are legally entitled to receive free land. Its size depends on for what purposes are plots issued… To do this, you need to collect a whole list of documents and obtain a positive decision from the local authorities.
