Ukrainians are obliged to pay tax for their apartments: who will be fined

Ukrainians will receive taxes on apartments and houses by July 1, 2021. You need to pay up to 70.8 UAH for each “extra” square (more than 60 squares for apartments and 120 squares for houses). Those who fail to pay within two months face fines.

“According to Art. 266 of the Tax Code, the tax liability can be charged for the reporting years within 1095 days. That is, three years,” – explained in GNS… If the payment is delayed up to 30 days – a penalty of 10%, from 30 days – a penalty of 20%. If the Ukrainian ignores the notification and refuses to pay, the property on which the tax is charged may be arrested.

“If the postal service is unable to deliver the tax notice due to the fact that the payer is not at the place of registration or he refused to accept the message, the tax notice is considered delivered from the day that the postal service indicated in the receipt message,” the State Tax Service explains.

It is important to note that the local government has the right to soften the norm, for example, to take a tax on apartments with an area of 70 square meters or more. However, the majority of the authorities do not dare to take such a step. Maximum tax rate – 1.5% of the minimum wage for the last year for each square meter of housingthat exceeds the norm. This year – 70.8 UAH.

Recall earlier OBOZREVATEL wrote how property tax will increase in 2021.

Individual entrepreneurs who have already retired by age, may no longer pay a single social contribution for themselves (ESV).

Ukrainians have the right to return part of the income tax paid (personal income tax, 18% of the salary). If last year the taxpayer paid for education (his or her child’s), paid interest on a mortgage, spent money on medical treatment, paid for insurance (including pension).
