Putin gave his annual speech

President of Russia Vladimir Putin gave his annual speech to the country’s parliament on Thursday.

At the beginning of his two-hour speech, Putin claimed that the overwhelming majority of Russians support the decision to start the war in Ukraine. In fact, more and more Russians are tired of the war and see that Russia has not achieved any of the goals set before the invasion.

Putin took a stand on the NATO membership of Sweden and Finland, among other things, by promising that Russia would strengthen its armed forces in the western direction.

Niinistö commented on the situation in Ukraine

British commander: Russia would lose a war with NATO quickly

Putin doesn’t really want a conflict with NATO because in that scenario Russia would lose quickly, British Armed Forces Commander, Admiral Tony Radakin Has said.

According to financial media Business Insider, Radakin said at an event in London on Tuesday that any Russian attack on NATO would cause an “overwhelming backlash.”
