Ukrainian track. Al-Nasr was unable to declare Ronaldo due to a debt of 6 million

The Saudi club Al-Nasr, which signed Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of last year, could not immediately declare a newcomer due to debts.

The Arab club owed around 6 million euros to the 32-year-old Brazilian Juliano, known in Ukraine for playing for Dnipro from 2011 to 2014. For this reason, FIFA has imposed sanctions on Al-Nasr in the form of a ban on registering newcomers , which the Saudis had to urgently overcome.

Al-Nasr owes Giuliano money since 2019. We filed a complaint against the club with FIFA and the organization punished them with a transfer ban. After that, a representative of the club contacted me and explained that the money for the debt had already been transferred in recent days. So they managed to pay only today (January 5), after which FIFA lifted the ban on the transfer from Al-Nasr, – said Juliano’s lawyer Marcelo Amoretti Souza.

Giuliano joined Al-Nasr in the summer of 2018 for €10.5m from Fenerbahce. Two years later, the Brazilian left Saudi Arabia on a free transfer, signing an agreement with Istanbul Basaksehir. Now Juliano plays in Brazil for Corinthians.

It was previously reported that Al-Nasr cannot sign Ronaldo for the season due to problems with the foreign player limit.
