Ukrainian sports federations will be deprived of their national status if they show solidarity with the Russians. This was stated by government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.
“Amendments have been made to the provision on granting national status to a sports federation on a competitive basis and deprivation of such status,” Melnichuk said. He published his statement on the telegram channel.
According to the report, the sports federation may lose its national status if athletes or other members of the sports federation take actions showing solidarity with representatives of the Russian Federation. It is noted that the actions of Ukrainians will undermine the authority of Ukraine in the world.
