Ukrainian singer Olga Tsibulskaya believes that the reaction of Ukrainian singer Ivo Bobul to what is happening to him depends on who speaks to him and how. She stated this in a new episode of the show “Who Are You?”, which took place on January 17 published on the YouTube channel of Ukrainian showman Sergei Sereda.
As an example, the artist told the story of Bobula, which took place in the summer of 2023.
“I dipped his face into the cake, you know? It was the Ukrainian song festival in Lviv, right now, during the great war,” the singer said. “And it was just his anniversary. They say something needs to be done so that it was unexpected and so that he would not turn around and leave, as [на интервью у украинской журналистки] Emmy Antonyuk. I say: “Well, damn it, it’s a birthday.” In fact, it all depends on how you approach the person and what message you communicate with. And we respectfully stuck Ivo Vasilyevich into the cake. Tsibulskaya called for respect for Bobul, who “made the industry.”

On June 17, Bobul celebrated his 70th birthday.
Context:
Bobul was born in 1953 in the village of Porubne (now Terebleche), Chernivtsi region. In 1980, he entered the professional stage as a member of the Chernivtsi Philharmonic “Cheremosh”. For a long time he worked at the Ternopil Philharmonic. Since 1990, it has become popular at the all-Ukrainian level. In 1991, Bobul returned to Chernivtsi and began singing in a duet with Lilia Sandulesa.
At the beginning of 1998, he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of Ukraine. Now he teaches at the Kyiv Academy of Variety and Circus Arts.
The artist is married for the fourth time. Together with his wife Natalya, he is raising a son, Daniil, whose godfather is the second president of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma. The wife is 12 years younger than 70-year-old Bobul.
