According to The War Zone, the Ukrainian military uses an ordinary grinder to extract submunitions from DPICM shells. This week, a video surfaced on social media showing the extraction process. Apparently, he was removed by soldiers of the 92nd OMBR.

Each artillery shell contains 88 submunitions. For gluing the fuse, ordinary fabric is used. It works on impulse. According to the authors of the video, the only problem when extracting submunitions is security. The fact is that disassembling artillery shells is quite dangerous.
