In the Odessa region, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was informed of suspicion of high treason. About this press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine April 10 reported in Telegram.
According to the investigation, the sailor was recruited by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation after the start of a full-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine. Since March last year, he has been collecting data for the enemy on the location of troops and weapons, receiving a reward for this.
Prosecutors believe that he handed over to the Russian Federation the coordinates of warehouses with ammunition, places of storage of equipment provided by international partners, information about the command and personnel of the military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On April 6, while trying to transmit data, he was detained. A petition has been sent to the court to order him a preventive measure in the form of detention, the OGPU said in a statement.
