Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Ukrainian Security Service announced that it had arrested a Russian informant, “who was preparing a Russian air attack in the Mykolaiv region during the visit of the President of Ukraine.”
The State Security Department said that the alleged informant “on the eve of the last trip of the President of Ukraine to the Mykolaiv region, was collecting intelligence information about the planned visit.”
Zelensky had visited the region at the end of last July, and the Ukrainian Security Service said in a statement that the alleged conspirator “tried to obtain information about the timing of the visit and the locations that the Ukrainian president will pass through during his visit to the region.”
However, the agents of the State Security Department obtained information about the “subversive activities of the suspects” and adopted additional security measures.
In monitoring the women’s communications, the Security Management Unit has demonstrated that it also has the task of locating electronic warfare systems and ammunition depots for the armed forces.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator was a resident of Ochakov and worked as a former saleswoman in a military warehouse on the territory of one of the military units in the region.
It was alleged that she traveled throughout the territory of the province and photographed the locations of Ukrainian units. Kyiv did not identify her.
